Welcome to
Imagemaker...an online portfolio showcase of photographic work by
Lancaster based photographer Andy Hockridge. Andy has been a
commercial photographer in the area for nearly 11 years, previously
running a photographic gallery with another photographer. He
trained at the prestigous Blackpool College of Art from 1992 to
1995 gaining a degree in Design photography. Before Blackpool he
attended a 2 year national diploma at Sandwell College in the West
Midlands, this course was at the time widely regarded as the best
in country for training in technical photography.
Andy prefers working within the creative atmosphere of small and
clever graphic design agencies, this is where he does his best
work...contributing & developing ideas for imagery - whatever
the project. Andy has worked with many graphic designers over the
past 11 years maintaining throughout his passion for image making,
his delight in creativity, his determination for quality of the
image, creating new ways of representing old themes and most of all
retaining and improving the message that the client needs to
portray through the photography.
Please take some time to look around the site. There are hundreds
of images to see that will illustrate how Andy creates style,
content and quality throughout a huge range of very different
clients and products. Each page is set up as a slideshow that
should load and run automatically, you can use the control to view
the show as thumbnails (it appears when your mouse moves over the
image) browse back to a particular image or pause and play. The
software uses the latest version of flash and may not run very well
on older computers.
The ‘Recent Photography’ section features some exciting projects
created this year, the following pages are categories from the
portfolio which can feature images from as little as a month ago or
as old as 12 years ago. If you want to see a ‘hard copy’ portfolio
with tear sheets and many, many examples of how the photography is
used commercially, please send an e-mail from the contact page or
you can call the studio, again details are on the contact page.
Lastly, there is a page within the 'Contact Details' called 'Boring
Stuff' this is a brief technical guide of the photography I produce
and a pricing guide. Please enjoy...
